Church School: Beginning with our nursery program and continuing on through high school we believe in the value of Christian education in the faith development of each child and young person. To that end our Sunday morning program and curriculum is designed to give children and youth the opportunity to explore and learn the Christian faith. Each class is led by a team of teachers to give more individual attention to each child. Our church school children present a Christmas program each year, participate in a “Secret Pal” event, and love the year-ending party in early June. New children are always welcome. Classes for ALL ages start at 9:15 Sunday morning.
Vacation Bible School: Each summer MVPC unites with our friends at the United Methodist Church for a week of learning and growth at VBS. With about 100 children this is an action-packed week and a highlight of the year.
THURSDAY PRAYER GROUP
"Talking With God" - prayer group meets 9:00 Thursday mornings in the library. All are welcome.
Thursday Morning Bible Study - 10-11:00 in Good Shepherd Hall. Hosea - Malachi: Not so Minor Prophets. Bring a Bible and a friend.
MALT - Music And Live Theater - Throughout the year MALT'ers attend several live performances of music or theater as a group. All arrangements are made for you including tickets, transporation if needed, and meal reservations when we dine before the performance. You just need to send in your reservation with number in your party, money for tickets and meal by the deadline date, and the rest is done for you. Coffee anyone? - Please join for a cup of coffee, a cookie and some delightful conversation in the Fireside Room, after Worship.
Play Ball! - During the warmer months we have a lively and friendly Men's Softball Team, and during the cooler months we engage in co-ed volleyball. If you would like to play contact the church office.
